Community Growth

Venturing in the food system

Venturing in the food system

I am an avid believer in giving back to my community, and have been involved in entrepreneurial, educational and food-delivery ventures throughout my professional life. My son and I prepared community food bank meals throughout Covid, and I have been an active member of the Kensal2Kilburn Fruit Harvesters since 2018, leading picks from neighborhood and private trees with annual yields of up to a tonne of fruit for foodbanks and other community organisations. I keep my own allotment-sized vegetable garden on a kind neighbour’s land and take pride in helping my family understand the bounty and pleasure of growing and harvesting their own food.

Marylebone Boys School

Developing the whole boy

A new free school in Westminster, founded to provide high quality academic provision to boys, was the brainchild of Westminster parents whose girls had a good selection of academically challenging state secondary school options, but whose boys did not.
